Pangolins Empty
PostSubject: Pangolins    Pangolins EmptySun Oct 31, 2010 8:04 am

HUZZAH, in my opinion probably one of the most ossum animals ever!
Well I havn't seen any topic about the Pangolin so I decided to make a topic. Feel free to lock or move if you see fit x3. Heres some information I found out about it on Wiki-

Wikipedia wrote:
A pangolin (pronounced /ˈpæŋɡəlɪn/), also scaly anteater or Trenggiling, is a mammal of the order Pholidota. There is only one extant family (Manidae) and one genus (Manis) of pangolins, comprising eight species. There are also a number of extinct taxa. Pangolins have large keratin scales covering their skin and are the only mammals with this adaptation. They are found in tropical regions of Africa and Asia. The name "pangolin" derives from the Malay word pengguling ("something that rolls up").

Pangolins are nocturnal animals, and use their well-developed sense of smell to find insects. The long-tailed pangolin is also active by day. Pangolins spend most of the daytime sleeping, curled up into a ball.

I think pangolins are very unique and beautiful animals. Its interesting to look at the different types like the giant pangolin or the long-tailed pangolin ^^.

Feel free to discuss more about this amazing animal, and if you have had any encounters with it or have some interesting information to share!

Not really in my opinion they look more like anteaters.
